Arthurian Legend and Stonehenge

Arthurian legend
Arthurian Legend is the stories and myths of King Arthur. Some of the more popular myths in Arthurian legend are Arthur’s birth, Sword in Stone, Lady of the Lake, Arthur’s death, and the miraculous sword Excalibur. The story of Arthur’s birth is before he was born King Uther made a promise to Merlin that when his Child was born he would be given to Merlin to bring up as he choose. When Arthur was born he was given to Merlin who gave him to Sir Ector and his wife. Arthur grew up not knowing about his royal background. When it was time to choose a new king no one could decide who was going to rule their country so when they found sword in stone everybody lined up to try. Nobody could pull out this sword. Since they thought nobody could do this they decided to decide by jousting. Arthur’s step-brother Sir Kay was in this Match and forgot his sword at home. He made Arthur go back and get it but Arthur could not find the sword so he pulled the sword out of the stone. When Arthur presented it to Sir Kay he recognized the sword and tried to lie and be king but the truth came out. Since nobody thought Arthur was royal they didnt want him to be King and they kept holding off his Inaugration. Finally when they inaugrated him everyone found out about his family tree. Arthur died when He and his enemy Mordred were both in a battle and they stabbed each other and died.
Stonehenge
Stonehenge is a wonderful monument with a fascinating background. Here is the story in the fifth century there was a masacre of 300 british noblemen and some people wanted there to be a big grave and monument and Merlin a great magcian knew exactly were to get the stones. They were on a mountain in Ireland and the stones were used for rituals and healing. The expedition to Ireland was lead by Uher and Merlin. When they got there there was only one problem. The Stones were heavy and people could not lift them. So Merlin used his magic and transported the Stones back to England.When Uther, Arthur, Aurelius, and there succesor Constantine died they were also buried there. Stonehenge is a wondeful site and is still standing today. Sadly there is a magor highway running 100 yard away from it. There are also gift shops and parking lots around it. English heritage is commited to righting these wrongs. In the next few years we may get to see Stonehenge for its original purpose.
